Scripture:  Matt. 7: 1-2 “Stop judging others and you will not be judged.  For others will treat you as you treat them.  Whatever measure you use in judging others, it will be used to measure how you are judged.”
We all have been guilty of judging others.  In these scripture verses,article465original adidas1, Jesus is telling us to examine our own motives and behavior instead of judging others.  More often than not, the traits that irritate us in others are often habits that we have ourselves.  Our bad habits and negative behaviors are what we most want to change in others.  Is it easy for you to magnify the faults of others while excusing your own faults?  The next time you are ready to criticize someone, check to see if you deserve the same criticism.  Get into the habit of judging yourself first, then lovingly forgive and help others.
Wherever there is a lack of love, harsh judgments are easily spoken.  In most instances judgment takes place in your heart before it is spoken out of your mouth.  In Matt. 7: 1-2 it is clear that not only will God’s judgment fall upon you when you judge and condemn others, but, in turn, you will be subject to the judgment of your fellow human beings.
In order to live victoriously it is very important that you learn to live out your life without judging others. We live in a day when it is basically unheard of to live a life which takes no account of evil.  I Cor. 13:5 says, “Love is not rude.  Love does not demand its own way.  Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged.”  It is very easy to judge others when they act in unloving ways.  But you must remember that you too, have been guilty of acting in unloving ways towards others.  Jesus has forgiven you and you, in turn, must forgive others.  When you walk in forgiveness, you do not judge.
It is so easy during everyday conversation to fall into the habit of judging others.  Develop the habit of asking the Spirit of the Lord to teach you to look inward whenever you feel the need to judge someone and to strengthen you to not yield to the sin of judging others.  And,nmd adidas, when you do judge others, be quick to repent.  Speak the truth in love as the Spirit of the Lord leads you and you will know with certainty that you are not judging harshly.  You will learn not to overstep the boundaries of love and when the truth is spoken it will be heard and received for what it is…truth.
It is also very important to judge yourself.  In the scriptures, I Cor. 11:31 says, “But if we examine ourselves, we will not be examined by God and judged in this way.”  The more time you spend in judging yourself, adidas nmd r1, the less time you will spend judging others.  Live a life where you judge yourself and avoid judging others, repent when you do judge others, adidas nmd, use discernment and follow the leading of the Spirit of the Lord.   Then, when it comes to speaking the truth in love,, you will have victory. To live in victory,, develop the habit of seeing others as God sees them.
Prayer:  Lord, Help me to look inside my heart whenever I feel a need to judge others.  I pray to see others as you see them and ask for the strength and ability to walk in love and forgiveness so that I may live in victory.  Amen.
